LIFECO pumps undergo the required inspection, tests and production control during the assembly process and records are kept for the same, before they are delivered to our customers. Each pump is produced, and subjected to performance tests as follows:
a) Test run
performance curves plotted showing efficiency, brake force (kW), and total head developed at shutdown, at rated capacity, at 150 percent of rated capacity, And at selected intermediate capacities between closing and maximum capacities exceeding 150% of the rated capacity.
b) Hydrostatic Test
Each pump shall be hydrostatically tested for a minimum of 5 minutes. The test pressure shall be up to two times
the maximum working pressure of the pump, but in no case less than 250 psi (1724 kPa) to ensure that there is no
rupture or leakage through the castings at the test pressure.
c) Motor Balance
The impellers of each pump are dynamically balanced with a balance quality grade of G6.3 accordingly
with the requirements for the pumps impellers in the Mechanical Vibration Standard – Balance Quality

Fire hose reels are designed and manufactured in accordance with BS EN671 – 1. Hose reel discs are made of 1.2 mm electro-galvanized steel sheet pre-treated and coated with electrostatic powder coating and oven baked at 200°C. The side panels of the hose reel are protected with a polyester powder coating which meets the salt spray test requirements specified in ISO 9227 for 240 hours.
The hose reel drum features a configuration of hydraulically compressed ribs to give extra strength and avoid twisting. The outer edges are turned to give a secure edge treatment on the outer rims and a better look.
Automatic Fire Hose Reels are available with an internal valve built into the hose reel unit which opens during 3 turns of the hose reel as the hose is pulled out and closes when the hose is wound back onto the reel.
SFFECO Fire Hose Angle Valves (90° Pattern) are used on vertical pipes that have the inlet and outlet the same size or with the inlet larger than the outlet. The valve is manufactured according to UL668 hose valve for fire protection service standards.
SFFECO UL Listed single and double fire hoses are lined with high-tech EPDM tube whose engineered design ensures minimal weight with maximum durability and flexibility.
SFFECO UL Type Adjustable Nozzles are used on Class A and Class B fires in most industrial applications. They are used with a lined fire hose.
